Privacy
This notice says what personal data Rated Skip Hire processes, why, and what your rights are. It is written for the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.
Who is responsible
Raffaele Nocera, Viale Regina Elena 33, 10094 Giaveno (TO), Italy, Italian VAT number 13075490014. Email raffaele@raffaelenocera.com.
What we process and why
1. Server logs
The server that hosts the site records the IP address, date and time, page requested, result and browser type of each request. We use these for security, to prevent abuse and to keep the site running. Legal basis: our legitimate interest. They are kept for the time those purposes need, unless a request has to be investigated.
2. Email you send us
If you write to us we keep your message and our reply for as long as the matter is open, and for 12 months after, to answer follow-ups. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you, or a contract if you buy a Sponsored board.
3. Data about companies
The site publishes business data: company names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, opening hours, Google ratings and review counts read from Google Maps, and entries from the Environment Agency public register of waste carriers, brokers and dealers. Where a business is a sole trader, we show the trading name only, never the personal name. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running an independent directory, and the public nature of both sources. A sole trader who wants a plate removed can ask; we remove it within 30 days.
4. Advertising and statistics (not yet live)
Today the site sets no cookies of its own and loads no analytics or advertising script. We plan to show Google AdSense advertisements and to measure visits; when that goes live, this notice will be updated and a consent banner will ask before any advertising or analytics cookie is set.
Who else sees the data
Our hosting provider, Hostinger International Ltd., as processor, for the server logs; the site is hosted on servers in the European Union. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to the address above; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or to the data protection authority of your country.
Changes
This notice was written on 1 November 2026 and updated on 2 November 2026 with the hosting provider. It will be updated again when advertising or statistics go live.
